Share a hobby you’ve picked up recently — what got you into it?

For almost a year, I have taken up the hobby of photography. The reason for taking this up came from my one year wedding anniversary trip with my wife to the Mendocino Coast in Northern California.

The Mendocino Coast is approximately 90 miles of bluffs, hidden coves, and Redwood forest that runs right down to the Pacific Ocean.

Known for its nature, culture, and laid back vibes, this area is the perfect escape from the fast pace of bigger city life.

I could tell nature worked in its own unique way in the area when I visited places like the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, Glass Beach, and the Noyo River.

There is so much beauty to admire; and you can imagine that I took so many photos. It didn’t take long for me to invest in a Canon camera so I could practice taking nature shots.

I find it very therapeutic and relaxing to be out in nature and take shots of wildlife; maybe one day once I retire I can make that my next endeavor.
